Josh’s journey into counseling is rooted in a combination of 17 years of pastoral experience and his own therapeutic work. Having served as a Children's and Student Pastor and currently the Family Pastor at Parkview Community Church, he is dedicated to supporting healthy marriages and parents and using his experience working with youth to help them grow and develop at critical developmental stages. It was through this work that he discovered his passion for sitting in vulnerable spaces with families and helping them navigate challenges unique to their stage of life. Becoming a therapist was only further fueled by his own therapeutic journey and inspired him to help empower others on their paths to healing. Josh believes the most important question you can ask your counselor is, "Who is your therapist?"

Josh officiates for both weddings and funerals, as well as conducting premarital counseling. He enjoys public speaking and training teams and organizations on mental health. He and his wife, Paige, live in Lombard with their two sons. Their home is committed to ensuring that Chicago Deep Dish is known as the world’s greatest Pizza.

Josh’s approach to therapy

Josh believes the client/therapist relationship can be a powerful space where individuals can be vulnerable, authentic, and curious so that they can live their fullest life. His client-centered therapeutic approach focuses on the client-counselor relationship and empowers individuals to author their stories. He incorporates family systems to understand the impact of family of origin on one's narrative and is also completing his certification in Couples EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy). Josh is dedicated to

providing a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their challenges, find their next steps, and create positive change in their lives.
